Our Green Day

To mark recycling week and National Tree Week we wore something green to school on Wednesday 6th October. We discussed ways we could reduce wrappers and packaging we bring to school. We did a survey of litter in lunchboxes and the results were great - only 130 pieces in the whole school. The figure in June was 187 and last April it was 288. We were delighted with our results.

The whole school went on a nature walk that day also. The older children minded the infants. We gathered lots of samples of leaves and fruit and we named as many as we could.
