The National Children's Choir

This year 5th and 6th classes have entered The National Childrens Choir.The two concerts have already taken place. One of the concerts was in the Church of the Assumtion in Tullamore, the other one took place in Dunamaise Theatre in Portlaosie. They both went really well and we even got a standing ovation! The other schools in our group were Killeigh, Durrow, St. Philomenas, Scoil Bhride in Clara, St. Pauls in Portlaoise, Ballyboy and of course Gortnamona! In Portlaoise the group was split in two.

On the 28th of May three of us went to the National Concert Hall in Dublin. There were three concerts being held there, one on Saturday ( we went on Saturday!!!), one on Sunday and one on Monday! We were very excited! There were sixteen fantastic songs and also the national anthem sung on the night. They included a very famous Micheal Jackson song called 'The Earth Song' (who doesn't love a bit of Micheal Jackson?). Smiles all round! :) C= ;D
