Badminton

Every Friday evening, pupils from our school go down to Mountbolus Hall to play badminton. Our coach is Judy Bryant. On the 18th of April we had the Schools Badminton Competition. All the matches were doubles( two players against another two players). We entered five teams. The players on the top team were Michael Ryan, Ciaran Condron, Stephen Leonard, Diane Mahon and Siofra Mc Cann. The players on the second team were Dylan Leonard, Eabha Walsh, John Owens and Emily White. Adam Condron, Tara Phelan,Mikayla Mitchell and Conor Owens made up the third team and Megan Plunkett, Claire Conway, Peter Moran and James Moran made up our fourth team. And the players on the fifth team were Cliodhna Monahan, Elaine Cogley, Abigail Plunkett and Daniel Conway. The competition went on for four hours. Every team did very well and our second team won the cup for the Over Tens Plate and our fifth team won the cup for the Under Tens Plate. Our first team came third in the Over Tens Championship. We are very happy with where we came in the competition and we hope that we will do better next year! Everyone enjoyed the day!
